On the July 5 episode of MBC’s Hangout with Yoo (episode 287), Yoo Jae-suk made a heartfelt revelation: he never watched the final episode of Infinite Challenge, the iconic Korean variety show that defined a generation.

The episode centered around Yoo Jae-suk, HaHa, Joo Woo-jae and Lee Yi-kyung working together to sell over 100 leftover figurines of HaHa’s old “Infinite Challenge” character. While reflecting on the past, Joo Woo-jae and Lee Yi-kyung confessed they were “Infinite Challenge kids”—lifelong fans of Infinite Challenge—and had watched every single episode.

In response, Yoo Jae-suk said with a smile, “A lot of ‘Infinite Challenge’ fans rewatch the entire series, but among the members, some have never seen it all.” He then shared his own experience, “It’s not that I couldn’t watch the final episode—I didn’t want to watch it. I always say this, but to me, it didn’t feel like a proper final episode. It wasn’t meant to end so suddenly, and the idea of wrapping things up in a grand way didn’t sit right with me. That episode felt more like a closing chapter than a real finale.”

Joo Woo-jae then asked, “You did the show for so long—what did you do the first Thursday after it ended?” HaHa replied humorously “I called the other members and said, ‘What are you doing?’ And they were like, ‘Yah yah yah, hang up. I’m just lying around'”, trying to lighten the bittersweet memories with laughter.

Joo Woo-jae noted “Jae-suk is the same now as he was back then,” recognizing Yoo’s enduring sincerity and humility.
